Maj Jents Receives Award From Minnesota Wing

Major Chuck Jents, CAP, who is a recent transplant to the TX-435 Tex Hill Squadron from Minnesota, received the 2021 Minnesota Wing Powered Orientation Pilot of the Year from the TX-435 squadron commander, Capt. Mauricio Urquiola. Major Jents flew 8 SDWG CAP Cadets during their Summer Encampment, 32 MNWG CAP Cadets, and 6 University of MN AFROTC cadets on orientation flights in 2021 many of whom was their first flight in a small GA aircraft.  Major Jents was always willing to fly cadets from squadrons outside his home squadron and was willing to travel to outstate squadrons to provide O-Flights when requested. Major Jents continues his commitment to flying orientation flights in TX with 22 TXWG CAP Cadets and 9 AFJROTC cadets to date in 2022.
