12 Senior members were recently recognized for earning their Yeager award, which is named after USAF General Chuck Yeager, the first man to break the sound barrier. To earn the award members must study CAP’s Aerospace: The Journey of Flight textbook. The text covers many aviation-related topics including introduction to the history of airpower, principles of flight, the aerospace community, weather and space. After successful completion of a knowledge test based on the text, members are given a ribbon to wear on their uniform. Congratulations to these members for completing this milestone achievement in their CAP careers!
